Dr Mithun Sri Ganeshan
I am a General Practitioner with a background in physiotherapy, and I am passionate about caring for individuals and families across all stages of life. My journey into medicine grew from both my early life experiences and my years working as a physiotherapist in hospital and community settings. Those years taught me the value of listening carefully, understanding people's stories, and helping them move toward better health in practical, sustainable ways.
I believe healthcare works best when it is collaborative. Having worked within multidisciplinary teams throughout my career, I see the difference that integrated, team-based care can make for patients and their families.
I grew up in Sydney and moved to Western Australia in 2014 to study Medicine at the University of Notre Dame. After graduating, I worked across Fiona Stanley Hospital, Fremantle Hospital and Rockingham General Hospital within the South Metropolitan Health Service. While I hadn't originally planned on becoming a GP, I realised that what I valued most was building long-term relationships and supporting people over time.
I currently serve as Head Doctor at Perth Demons Football Club and also work as a General Practitioner in the Emergency Department at St John of God Midland. I am also a supervisor with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and am involved in the training and selection of medical students at the University of Notre Dame.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, keeping fit at the gym, and, when I get the chance, doing a few laps at Barbagallo Raceway.
Dr Daniel Nguyen
I'm a locally trained general practitioner, born and raised here in Perth. I completed my medical degree at the University of Notre Dame Australia in Fremantle in 2018 and achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2024.
I've worked across several major hospitals in Perth, which has given me broad clinical experience and a strong foundation in managing complex and diverse medical conditions. I'm passionate about helping patients achieve long-term wellbeing through evidence-based preventive care and comprehensive management of chronic illness.
Alongside my clinical work, I'm involved in teaching and research. I'm an adjunct lecturer in medicine at Curtin University and have presented at national and international conferences, particularly in multidisciplinary cardiovascular care. I'm especially interested in how team-based care within general practice can improve patient outcomes.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, travelling, and a good LEGO set. I'm delighted to be part of the Bayswater GP team and look forward to caring for the local community.
Dr Sae Cho
I originally trained as an optometrist and retinal molecular biologist, completing a PhD in optometry before pursuing medicine. My academic journey brought me to Western Australia, where I completed my Doctor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle in 2018.
After graduating, I worked at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital, and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, gaining experience across a range of specialties including Emergency, Geriatrics, General Medicine, and Ophthalmology. I then completed my general practice training in Western Australia.
I value building long-term relationships with my patients and providing care that is both practical and evidence-based. Originally from South Korea, I speak both English and Korean, and I'm passionate about caring for Western Australia's multicultural communities.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and keeping active while keeping up with my family's busy schedule.
Dr Shaalan Ahamat
I graduated in Medicine from the University of Notre Dame after completing a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Microbiology, at the University of Otago. I have worked across several major institutions including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Hollywood Private Hospital, and Graylands Hospital, where I gained broad clinical experience across multiple areas of medicine.
I later returned to New Zealand to spend time with my family and attained Fellowship with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP). I have a special interest in cosmetic medicine and have completed a Diploma in Cosmetic Medicine. I am also a member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine (NZSCM).
While I enjoy all aspects of General Practice, I have a particular passion for preventative health and place strong emphasis on continuity of care and building long-term relationships with my patients.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy going to the gym and am an avid collector of Pokémon cards.
Dr Amanda Ashley
Dr Amanda Ashley is an experienced General Practitioner dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred and evidence-based care, with commitment to helping patients thrive at every stage of life. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, across all age groups. You may sometimes see her accompanied in the office by her beloved little dog, Rosie!
Before embarking on her medical career, Dr Ashley worked as an Intensive Care Unit clinical nurse for many years, which she loved. Nonetheless, her childhood dream of being a doctor led her to study medicine at the University of Western Australia and she completed her medical degree in 2005.
Following postgraduate training at Fremantle Hospital, Dr Ashley completed General Practice training and achieved Fellowship in 2009.
Seeking both professional challenge and adventure, she then spent eight years working as a solo GP in a remote Western Australian mining town. This experience allowed her to develop broad clinical skills across all aspects of family medicine while providing comprehensive healthcare to a diverse community.
In 2019, Dr Ashley returned to Perth to be closer to family. Dr Ashley continues to love everything about general practice, the ability to build long term relationships with her patients and work with them to achieve optimal health and well-being through personalised, evidence-based care across all stages of life.
